[edit]Would it be true to say that the flashing red 20A signal is permissive signal of some kind while the steady red 20B signal is an absolute signal. Otherwise what is the principal difference?
Tabletop 11:24, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
- Both are absolute. 20A is used for entry to a station and in block posts (points on the line that seperate two blocks), while 20B is used for exit from stations.
Home and Distant?
[edit]How does one combine a home signal and a distant signal on the same post?
Tabletop 11:37, 19 May 2005 (UTC)
- The distant signal is placed on the same pole, below the home signal. Usally, the distant and home signals are to separate units, but they can also be combined in a 5-aspect unit (green, red, green, yellow, green). The distant signal is not lit when the home signal shows signal 20A.
Flashing Ink?
[edit]How does one arrange things so that the flashing (pulsating) colours on the article page of this topic continues to flash when printed out on paper?
Similarly, how can the coloured signals still be recognisable on a black and white printer?
The flashing signals all appear black on the printout - oh dear!

Signal 24
[edit]Would the Y and G of signal 24 flash in unison, it merely being a limitation of Wikipedia that this cannot be show? Tabletop (talk) 08:46, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Missing Signal =
[edit]I am watching the 7hr cab ride video NRK made. I saw a signal that is missing from this page. The signal I saw from top down was the top head showed green, dark, green. The lower head showed dark, flashing green. This signal indication needs to be added. I have no idea what it means. Ctempleton3 (talk) 17:43, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
