Major edit to aviation medicine
[edit]Would you be amenable to a major edit to the aviation medicine page? If you are I can send you the proposal for the new text. I am a specialist in aerospace medicine; I believe you have done an excellent job in capturing the overview but I believe some items could be updated. -- AVDOC 13:03, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Aviation Medicine is not Aerospace Medicine.
[edit]Aviation medicine is occupational health specific to pilots, aircrew, and support personnel. Aerospace medicine is a broader medical specialty with defined skills and competencies that encompasses preventative medicine, occupational medicine and public health in austere environments undersea, on surface, in the air and space. Aerospace medicine requires residency training and board certification through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. 67.133.232.1 (talk) 15:06, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
