User talk:Asexual same-sex marriage
Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks.
Also, please be aware that the article on Same-Sex Marriages refer to gay marriage, or, more specifically, sexual relationships between same-sex partners that wish to become married under the law of a nation. Please see the section on terminology for more on this. Arcuras 21:06, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)
- Please refrain from using article space to push your point of view. I disagree with Arcuras, actually: there is nothing in any modern marriage contract, whether it be between same-sex or opposite sex people, that requires sexual activity to occur within the marriage to legitimise it. In other words, sexual activity is not a requirement for marriage, so claiming that asexuals are not allowed to marry is both non-neutral and a falsehood. Exploding Boy 21:21, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)
Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you were just trying to experiment, then use the sandbox instead. Thank you. Exploding Boy 21:30, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. . In addition to continuing to add non-NPOV nonsense to the same-sex marriage article despite several warnings (above), you have now reverted the same article more than three times in a 24 hour period; this is a violation of Wikipedia policies. Please consider this to be your last warning. If you continue this behaviour you will be blocked. Exploding Boy 22:00, Dec 7, 2004 (UTC)
You are the one who is vandalising, Asexual same-sex marriage. Please stop. Spinboy 22:02, 7 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Three revert rule
[edit]ASSM, please read WP:3RR. If you revert an article more than three times in 24 hours, you are subject to being blocked. If people revert you, use the talk page of an article to discuss your changes first. If you believe the article is factually inaccurate, add {{disputed}} to the top; if you think it does not conform to the neutral point of view, add {{npov}} and again, discuss. Do not revert wholesale. JRM 22:00, 2004 Dec 7 (UTC)
Hello, I'd like to suggest that you and I create a new article on Asexual same-sex marriage rather than engaging in a futile little edit war. Once we've created such an article then might be a good time to argue for a little space in same-sex marriage. Regards :) Barnaby dawson 22:40, 8 Dec 2004 (UTC)
- Hm. Personally, I'd argue that "asexual marriage" belongs under marriage of convenience. Exploding Boy 22:45, Dec 8, 2004 (UTC)
Perhaps we should have an article on platonic marriage with a subsection about same-sex marriage's of this type. I'll have a look and see if I can find such an article already in existence. Barnaby dawson 21:59, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit]Um, if you are in a same-sex marriage, how are you not gay? One can be asexual and still be gay. It depends on one's desires, not one's actions. Nelson Ricardo 03:35, Jan 3, 2005 (UTC)
