- So reality has caught up with something that Larry Niven proposed in the 1970s. (See List of fictional curse words. Also see expletive deleted.) At most, noting the fact that reality has once again caught up with science fiction, and that once again we are starting to walk the euphemism treadmill, is a one-line addition to beep.
