What's there to say? I saw somebody make some edits, thought they didn't go far enough, and went a little overboard. Recently, I added material from Lois Lowry's Newbery Medal acceptance speech and other like sources on how The Giver came to be, as well as a blurb about its relation to her new book Messenger. Lots of pieces still need work, but it seems to be a more useful article than what went before.

- Weaponofmassinstruction noticed that the article contained a fair number of spoilers, without adequate warning as to where they could be found. I've tried to add a warning in the best place; please comment and correct, if necessary. Anville 21:45, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)
