The Comoro Islands include both Comoros and Mayotte and are a distinct concept from the nation of Comoros. Although Comoros claims Mayotte, it does not govern it, and clearly the claim is not accepted by France. Warofdreams11:19, 23 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
According to the above the article is based on the French WP equivalent, but the title has been changed to an incorrect form. In French there is noun-adjective agreement, so we have Îles Comores, but in English there is not. We say the Comoro Islands or the Comoros. We do not say Comoros Islands, Falklands Islands, Faroes Islands, or Cotswolds Hills, Rockies Mountains etc. The title needs to be changed back. - Sussexonian (talk) 06:22, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
