Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stuart Foxen

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Only google hits for "Stuart Foxen" are for a footballer, no reference of supposed transgender marriage. No google hits for "Stuart Andrew Foxen". As contributor's only other edit seems to have been a (since deleted) profanity about a UK football team, I suspect this may be someones idea of a sense of humour. -- Infrogmation 16:13, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: Hmm, the EU did standardize laws, but, to my knowledge, few EU nations had any laws on the books doubting a sexually reassigned person's ability to marry. I think this is a mix of fact and fiction, and I hope those more knowledgeable about the shifting status, and retrograde legal movements, of the issue pipe up with the real first ts marriage. • Keep - If the cross-gendered marriage thing is true, then he's notable enough. Might need some fact-checking, though. [[User:Mike Storm|MikeStorm]] 18:13, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete unless existence can be verified. [[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]] 20:11, 2004 Aug 5 (UTC)
  • Delete. The creator is obviously not going to provide verification, and if no one else does, it's not worth having around. Quadell (talk) 20:23, Aug 5, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete unless verified. Unable to find anything relevant googling for Zoe Pickford or Gavin Pickford either, and tried unsuccessfully to track down anything about the EU directive mentioned in the article. --Michael Snow 23:05, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete unless verified. Am I the only one who finds the repeated mention of "cross-gendered marriage" as a first here funny? Ambi 09:07, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete unless verified. This is notable if true. But I find absence of google hits very suspicious, particularly because the article talks about very recent events. Andris 10:49, Aug 6, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Unlikely to be true in ther face of lack of Google hits. Only contribution yet by this anon. Andrewa 12:39, 6 Aug 2004 (UTC)

+ keep. stuart foxen is the footballer on the google page - they are one and the same person.

I am affraid to tell you all that Stuart Foxen is in fact both the footballer you refer to as "Golden Balls" and the man who married Zoe Pickford. This seems to have spiralled a little out of control since Geogre decided to try and wow us with his knowledge. Sorry though mate, would appear you've made a mistake on this one. Oh well not to worry you (@*[ (sorry just realised shouldnt really swear). By the way I love wikipedia......keep up the good work.
