[edit]The mosque was designed by Prof. Mario Rossi, a renowned Italian architect who had built several mosques in Egypt, two of which are Omar Makram and Zamalek mosques. The mosque was equipped with carpets from Iran, glazed tiles from Turkey, books, and a spectacular chandelier from Egypt along with a team of skilled calligraphers who inscribed Quranic verses throughout the mosque. --NEWUSER|CARPEDIEM (talk) 02:11, May 24, 2005 (UTC)
