Oaklandon and Other Previous Communities

Consider adding a link to Oaklandon in a new subsection (===Former Communities=== ?) with other subsumed communities that were/are within Marion County. The problem is perspective... from a Marion County point of view they are former communities, while from an Indianapolis point of view they may be historic neighborhoods. 2601:40F:4082:5660:64F5:6DCD:27A2:B1D5 (talk) 22:02, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think that would be good, but I would limit it to communities that were incorporated at one time or that were historically independent of Indianapolis. Otherwise it could become another version of List of Indianapolis neighborhoods. If it's too problematic to determine which never-incorporated towns should be included, then just link to the neighborhood list. Indyguy (talk) 22:51, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
