What's going on with this article?

I made a simple edit (adding Conrad Burns (R-Montana) to the list of committee members), and I've tried four times to save and three times to preview. Every time, I get "The wikimedia web server didn't return any response to your request." Can someone else give this a try? Gary D Robson 15:16, 31 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Subcommittees

Finished all empty subcommittee articles and updated and standardized the subcommittee pages for the 110th Congress. Also moved and renamed pages to reflect new subcommittee names.Dcmacnut 19:17, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Specter

I reverted a change to this committee after Senator Specter changed parties. Its my understanding (looking for a source) that he will remain technically a Republican in regard to committee procedure until a resolution is passed changed this status. PantsB (talk) 17:53, 28 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Specter remains a Republican for purposes of committees until there is a reorganizing resolution. Ranking membership and sub-committee membership is undetermined and it is not clear that the Democratic Leadership will allow the Republicans to reclassify Specter as a Democrat for the purpose of committee assignments. He was appointed as part of the minority appointment resolution, but he is now a Democrat. It is simply inaccurate to say he is a Republican "for committee purposes", and creating the new type of party membership is OR. Also, he is certainly not the Ranking Member, and an committee appointment resolution is not necessary to change who holds that position. For instance, it no resolution was necessary when Ted Stevens was forced to step aside as Ranking Member after he was indicted. I am reverting. -Rrius (talk) 08:43, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

Thanks talk) for drawing my attention to the policy on attribution when copying from one Wikipedia to another, and for adding this sentence in the summary "some of the content in this section was copied from United States Senate Committee on Appropriations on January 7, 2017. Please see the history of that page for attribution." I copied the sentence, "The Senate Appropriations Committee is the largest committee in the U.S. Senate, with 30 members in the 114th Congress" and is therefore one of the most powerful committees in the Senate." from the Senate Appropriation article to the article earmarks.Oceanflynn (talk) 02:27, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
