Exclusion
[edit]The statement in Norwegian from the general secretary of the Progress Party was as follows: Frp har etter en helhetsvurdering funnet at det er best for begge parter at vi skiller lag. If any Norwegian speaking reads this page and think they have a better translation, feel free to change it. —This unsigned comment was added by 129.177.30.18 (talk • contribs) 06:04, 1 December 2003 (UTC).
Neutrality
[edit]The article seems a bit biased, with a peculiar introduction and lots of juicy stories about Simonsen, and just a few dry facts about his terms in various parliamentary committees. Is there nothing more positive to say from his 16 consecutive years (4 periods) in Parliament and also earlier career? I don't know much about him myself so I hope others can contribute. In the mean time I will perhaps tag the article with {{neutrality}} or {{controversial}} or something. --Eddi (Talk) 23:06, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Neutrality (2)
[edit]The article is currently not close to neutral. For example:
1) None of Simonsen`s achievements in his 25 year political carrier is mentioned, except his "experience" in various organisations.
2) Contains subjective information such as "He refuses the tag of racist, but maintains a series of somehow peculiar political views:" or "These stunts (...) may be explained with the necessity of maintaining a certain presence in the media, since his expulsion from the Progress Party."
3) The author portraits Simonsen as an anti-islamic racist, but "forgets" to mention his many Muslim Palestinian friends which Simonsen supports with a major amount of money.
4) It is difficult to see how the information about Simonsen taking advice from a male prostitute when writing a book s of any relevance. This is mentioned in the start of the article....
Why was the link to the interview with Simonsen deleted?
[edit]I see that the link that was added to Taliban Norway Magazine's interview with Jan Simonsen was deleted. Any good reason why? In that interview Mr. Simonsen talks in some depth about the libel cases he lost against the Progress Party and against TV2. Will the user Billinghurst please come forward?--221.239.225.113 (talk) 01:15, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
