Trivia
[edit]This is probably too trivial for an encyclopedia entry, but it's a little odd that the City of Winnipeg is no-where near the Winnipeg River - at least I think it's odd. --Wtshymanski 13:28, 12 May 2005 (UTC)
Falls name
[edit]Is the Point du Bois site really called "Eight Foot Falls" ? It's got a lot more than eight feet of head - I've been in the wheel pit there! --Wtshymanski 00:09, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Wrong river
[edit]Hi friend, I think the map in the article Winnipeg River was alright. Unfortunately, the river is not named on the map, but it does flow from Lake of the Woods to Lake Winnipeg and is shown on the map.--Ratzer (talk) 06:35, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- The proposed map highlights the wrong river; the Winnipeg river doesn't flow through Winnipegand isn't even labelled on this map. A map for this article should highlight and label the correct river, otherwise it is misleading to readers. Better no illustration than an actively misleading one. --Wtshymanski (talk) 13:48, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- Now that's a better map, though it's too bad it doesn't show the whole length of the river. --Wtshymanski (talk) 13:02, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
