[edit]Eur Ing, EUR ING, or Eur-ing. --> only EUR ING is correct and stated on the certificate — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.61.87.227 (talk) 12:02, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
UK Charter
[edit]Does this FEANI thing have a Charter from the British Crown permitting it to grant professional titles? If not, then "Eur Ing" isn't a valid title in the UK, and this article should probably point that out. Proteus (Talk) 11:06, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)
- I suggest you read this (the Engineering Council UK has its own Royal Charter by the Crown itself but the title is not derived from it). FEANI does not need a Royal Charter, but the title must recieve some sort of formal, legal recognition, which it does, the following is a quote (from the first link) and should clarify:
- "The UK Privy Council has approved the use of the title EUR ING as a prenominal, in front of the name and before all other ranks and titles. It does not replace the title Chartered Engineer (CEng), which should still be used as a post-nominal. Chartered Engineers are generally eligible for the EUR ING title, and over 12,000 British Chartered Engineers have already achieved the qualification."
- If still in doubt I suggest that you do not tell the 12,000 odd people who use the title in the UK all at once! Djegan 17:42, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Logo
[edit]Where does the Eur Ing (or should that be EUR ING?) logo used on this page come from? I have never seen it anywhere else.BealBocht (talk)
- The logo appears to be have been made by an enthusiast modifying the "Made in Europe" symbol. It is misleading to have it here as it is not an official logo. The fact that it is in the public domain demonstrates that it is not official. I have therefore removed it. Chemical Engineer (talk) 13:52, 29 September 2016 (UTC)
