Anshar = Assur?
[edit]I read somewhere that Anshar was a distinct deity from Asshur and that the Assyrians syncretized the two to elevate Asshur. Confirmation? --Tydaj 04:38, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
You're right on that one, I have corrected it. Djaser 17:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Summerian version?
[edit]Unlike what the article says I do not believe that Anshar was known in Summerian mythology. He plays a role in the Akkadian Enuma Elish as child of Tiamat and Absu and doesn't have a Summerian name. Djaser 17:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Father of Enki and Ninlil?
[edit]The previous version of the article says the following:
they are the parents of [[Anu]] and [[Ea]]. (and, in some traditions, [[Enlil]]).
A source is necessary here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Djaser (talk • contribs) 17:26, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Sky axle?
[edit]If he is the god of the "sky axle", then he is the god of the northern celestial pole, or he is the northern celestial pole. Rursus dixit. (mbork3!) 09:28, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
