There really should be an independent article on this important subject and not just a re-direct to Gravitational lens. Could an outline be:
- A quick outline
- Short introduction to the mathematics (the Paczynski curve)
- Deviations from the Paczynski curve: Parallax/xallarap, finite source effects, binary lens/source.
- What can it be used for - and by whom:
- OGLE
- MicroFUN
- MOA
- MACHO
- PLANET
- EROS (although they don't exist anymore)
