Can anyone provide any proof to the rumours that the film is banned in the US? I know that it was not distributed there, but then again most Japanese films aren't. I'm from the US, and I've certainly watched it. M123 03:08, 22 Aug 2003 (UTC)
According to this link: http://www.teleport-city.com/movies/reviews/action/battle_royale.html it has not been banned in the US. It was banned in Japan though. BL 03:13, 22 Aug 2003 (UTC)
- It was not banned in Japan. There was a political furor when it was released about the violence, but it was widely played and was a huge box office success. BR2 will probably be banned in the US, though, or at least will not find wide distribution. -- Tlotoxl 03:14, 22 Aug 2003 (UTC)
