I have a photo of the USS.Vincennes at Aotea Wharf in Wellington New Zealand in January 1946.a lovely looking cruiser. And I had the pleasure of meeting a handsome Lieutenant Louis Loiseau while the ship was in my home town on R&R. Is this ship still in service,or has it joined the 'moth ball' fleet ?
And what became of that naval officer?

This Vincennes is long gone - decommissioned in September 1946 and eventually sunk as a target in 1969. Another Vincennes (CG-49) served from 1985 until 2005. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.158.48.160 (talk) 11:57, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
