Is the M. Newman mentioned in the article Max Newman? <KF> 13:41, Oct 11, 2004 (UTC)
- May well be, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a source online that lists the full first names of the paper's authors, so I can't say. -- Schnee 14:26, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I would have thought it unlikely. These primes were first described in 1981, when Max Newman would have been in his eighties, and he'd retired in 1964. — Matt Crypto 12:08, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's not Max Newman, but the question is 2 years old so KF may have lost interest. A simple Google search easily finds "Newman, Morris; Shanks, Daniel; Williams, H.C." PrimeHunter 17:09, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
